For example, this article by Shannon Travis in CNN's Politics blog is a fair and objective review of Ron Paul's continued progress in Iowa.
Rather than dismissing two important, recent endorsement for Dr. Constitution, Travis examines the importance of the development and, quite correctly, reasons it amounts to "something to boast about."
Most notably though, she gives this assessment of Paul's polling in Iowa:
Though the endorsements are positive for Paul's campaign, it's unclear just how far they'll go. Despite a passionate and loyal group of supporters – often very visible and vocal at Paul campaign stops - the candidate has trailed fellow GOP contenders Former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, and at times others, in some Iowa polls. In some other polls, Paul has fared better against Pawlenty.
Travis is simply reviewing the facts. No one is asking for a blind approval of Paul, or an inaccurate recitation of his support, but mentioning he is at least in the race (see previous entries on this subject) is a step forward.
That is done in this article. So good job Travis. Now get out there and report on the candidates' positions on ethanol subsidies.
